How to get Nightmare Sigil in Diablo 4

Nightmare Sigil Diablo 4 – When the players of Diablo 4 are progressing through the Nightmare World Tier in the game, they will be given the option to play a few of the challenging versions of the game’s standard Dungeons. This can be done with the help of Nightmare Sigils that increase both the challenge and rewards for the dungeon.

If you want to get your hands on Nightmare Sigils, read the guide below to find out how this can be done. When the players complete the Cathedral of Light capstone dungeon, they will probably get their first Nightmare Sigil, allowing them to play in Nightmare difficulty.

When players have unlocked World Tier 3 in the game, then they’ll have to build themselves up to gain access to the new content that they have unlocked, and this can be done with the help of the Nightmare Dungeons, as they act as the perfect endgame activity for this purpose. Nightmare dungeons are a more challenging version of the Standard Dungeons in the game, where players will face a higher difficulty level along with more dense monsters.

Usually, the Nightmare Dungeons have different dungeon-wide modifiers that are active. For example, one of the Nightmare Dungeons will bombard you with the help of mortars if you stay in one place for too long.  Nightmare Sigils also have specifications that rely on the Tier Ranges, Dungeon Affixes, number of revives available, etc., which then act as factors for the Nightmare Sigils to have a wide range of classifications.

Another thing to know is that a Nightmare Dungeon’s difficulty varies from Tier to Tier and increases with such. So, World Tier 4 is more difficult compared to World Tier 3. So, similarly, the number of revives also depends on the Nightmare Sigil.

Uniquely, Affixes can change a Nightmare Dungeon’s difficulty, like lightning strikes every few seconds or a pillar following you that, when touched, will cause you damage by exploding. Moreover, Dungeon affixes, too, vary from 3-5.

Nightmare Sigil Tier Specifications in Diablo 4

Sacred Sigil and Ancestral Sigil are the two categories of Nightmare Sigils in Diablo 4. The Ancestral Sigil has Tiers ranging from 21 to 100, while Sacred Sigils Tiers range from 1 to 20. These further have various subranges, depending on the Gold, Dungeon Affixes and Sigil Powder they possess.

How to get Nightmare Sigil in Diablo 4

Players cannot find Nightmare Sigil in the normal world. Only when they reach World Tier 3 will these become available after players complete the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon? There are three ways that players can get Nightmare Sigils in the game, post advancing to World Tier 3: Tree of Whispers, Nightmare Dungeons, and Crafting using Sigil Powder. These three ways are explained in detail below.

Tree of Whispers in Diablo 4

A great source for obtaining Nightmare Sigils in Diablo 4 is the Tree of Whispers. However, this is subject to the fact that players can get from the tree, Sigils. For this, players must complete the story and reach level 50. Then, after crossing this level, they must complete the ‘Whispers of the Dead.’ Upon reaching the required number of Grim Favors, the tree rewards you with caches that might contain Nightmare Sigils too.

Rewards from Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4

However, the most efficient way of obtaining Nightmare Sigils in the game is by playing the Nightmare Dungeons. This is because they randomly spawn in the Dungeons. Although to get this in great amounts, the way is completing the main boss fight.

Crafting using Sigil Powder in Diablo 4

One of the special rewards in the game is Sigil Powder. When players complete a nightmare dungeon successfully, they are rewarded with this mostly. Once players unlock crafting, they can craft the sacred Nightmare Sigils using Sigil powder and gold.

Crafting High-Tier Nightmare Sigils in Diablo 4

You can use Sigil Powder to craft High-tier Nightmare Sigils in the game. There are two primary ways to get Sigil powder: completing a Nightmare dungeon and, at the Occultist, using the salvaging option (which breaks down the low-tier Nightmare Sigils to give you Sigil powder).

Completing a Nightmare Dungeon usually rewards you with a Nightmare Sigil, which is close to whatever the tier of the dungeon is. So, if you want to try out a much higher Nightmare Dungeon, you’ll need to craft a sigil (at the Occultist). Head to any city’s Occultist and select the Craft Sigil menu. Then, choose which Sigil range you want and exchange it for the required Sigil Powder. The higher-tier sigils will cost you more Sigil powder and Gold to craft them.

That pretty much sums up everything there is to know about how to get Nightmare Sigil in Diablo 4.
