Tekken 8 Crashing on PS5 and PS4

Facing crashing issues with Tekken 8? These tips will help you.

Fix for Tekken 8 Crashing on PS5 and PS4

Check the internet connection.

Always ensure that your console is connected to the internet, or none of the games on your console will launch. Nowadays, Internet connectivity is mandatory if you own a console.

Make sure that you update your Console.

First and foremost, check if your Consoles are fully updated. Because otherwise, you will have a lot of issues while launching newer games. If you have a PS4, then go to Settings and select System Software Update to update your last generation Playstation 4 Console. If you have the latest PlayStation 5, go to Settings and select System Software. Click on the update system software and wait until the process is finished.

Console Cache needs to be cleared.

Cache files eat up a lot of performance, and it is always recommended that you clear it every time before launching a newly installed game. You only need to switch off your console, keep it unplugged for 2 minutes, and then put it back on. This wipes off the entire Cached data that you have on your Console.

Find and Delete Corrupted Files.

Maintain a habit of deleting corrupted files, as these are one of the primary reasons for crashing. To fix this, head to Storage > Saved Data > Select Tekken 8 and select the Delete option.

Try Rebuilding the Database

This is one such fix that we recommend you do if you are aware of the technical aspects of a console. Here are the steps for rebuilding your Database completely. Turn off the console and unplug the power cord. Leave it like that for around 5 minutes. Hold the Power button after plugging in the cord, and you should hear a beep sound and one more beep at a 10-second interval. Once you get a display on the screen, you will be prompted to press the PS5 button on the controller. Select the Rebuild database options from a list of options and then Click on OK. Rebuilding the database takes a few minutes, depending on the Storage speed.

After the process, try running the game again. Even though this is a risky process, it saves a lot of the time you would have to spend if you were to reinstall the whole Game.

If none of the above methods work, you can try reinstalling the game on your console, and it should solve all of your issues once and for all.
