Manor Lords Performance Guide for PC
Here are some tips and tricks to fix the performance issues in Manor Lords:
Disable Background Recordings and Overlays
Overlays are notoriously responsible for eating up chunks of your Performance. If you have a lot of overlays running in the background, your game is bound to cause performance issues no matter how latest your PC or Laptop is. These are the overlays that you need to turn off to get a boost in performance.
- Geforce Experience
- AMD Overlays
- Steam
- Discord
- MSI Afterburner
However, MSI Afterburner is the only overlay I use when benchmarking games.
Turn on Performance Mode in Nvidia Control Panel
Go to your Nvidia Control Panel > Click on ‘Adjust image settings with preview’ located on the left side under 3D settings > Select ‘Use my preference emphasizing’, and set it to ‘Performance‘.
Update your GPU Drivers
You can update your GPU drivers, as outdated drivers are the root cause of these issues. The excellent news is Nvidia launched their exclusive new driver for Manor Lords.
Also, make sure you keep your Windows updated. All you need to do is open up Start and type Windows Update. Click on the option “Windows Update Settings”. When the Window opens, click Check for Updates and let the system sit until it completes its update process. Restart your system afterward.
Use the correct GPU if you are on a Laptop.
Manor Lords will have a lot of players playing this title on a Gaming Laptop. However, make sure you use the dedicated GPU on your laptop, not the integrated one. To ensure that happens, all you need to do is
- Open Nvidia Control Panel.
- Click on the Manage 3D Settings.
- Select the Program Settings tab and then select Manor Lords from under “Select a program to customize”.
- If you don’t find the exe there, then click on the Add button to add it manually.
- Now set “Select the Preferred Graphics Processor for this Program” to “High-Performance Nvidia Processor.”
- After that, click “Adjust Image Settings with Preview,” which you will find on the left side under the 3D Settings.
- Click on “Use my Preference Emphasizing” and drag the Slider to Performance. Save the changes after you are done.
Disable Overclocks
If you have overclocked your GPU or CPU, make sure you downclock it to its default settings, as modern games spur out many performance-related issues when you alter the GPU or CPU speeds. So, tone everything down to the factory settings, and you will be done. Remember, this trick is applicable to all the other games.
