Starfield includes many locations that are either hard to access or are special in some way; given that there are about a thousand planets to explore, we reckon the number’s way more in terms of locations you must visit once, at least. But you must visit one unique location in Starfield: The Red Mile.
We’ll cover everything you need to know about the Red Mile and its location in Starfield, so read this article until the end!
Red Mile Location in Starfield
The Red Mile is a shady gambling place and a marketplace of sorts that has Signal Jammers and Shielded Cargo Holds, the kind of stuff that a smuggler might need. However, the problem is that the place is very hard to come across in Starfield unless you know where to look, and there are a few experiences here on offer. You cannot visit the Red Mile unless you’ve completed at least the first two missions of the main storyline in the game, so if you haven’t yet, we recommend that you visit this guide at a later time, but if you have, here’s how you could reach it:
On the Galactic Star Chart, the Red Mile is located on planet Porrima III in the Porrima System, west of Volii. The first time you visit the Red Mile, you might need to perform a few Grav Jumps depending on the Grav Drive you’re using. Nevertheless, you might be able to Fast-travel to The Red Mile if you’re on solid ground.
What makes the Red Mile special?
The best part about the Red Mile is the Red Mile Race, which is a blood sport. You’ll be required to make it to the beacon at the end of a crater filled with creatures that’ll attack you. There’s more, though; there are toxic vents you might need to avoid while you get through the space. If you do opt for the Red Mile Race, some of your companions might express their opinions on it; however, going against them won’t hurt your relationship with them in any way, so that’s one thing that you don’t need to worry about. They will still accompany you while you complete the race, and we do recommend pairing them up with a superior weapon if you’re getting their assistance with the race.
Completing the race once will get you a really good payout or reward, and to truly get the best out of it, you’ll have to complete the race about 30 times, after which you’ll make it to the leaderboard, and you’ll be rewarded with the AA-99 Assault Rifle- Desperation. It’ll take about two minutes to complete the race every single time, and doing it 30 times might take a while. However, it’s worth the effort.
That’s everything you need to know about the Red Mile’s location in Starfield.
