How to remove Wanted in Starfield

While engaging in Dogfights at the beginning might be fun, it becomes much harder as you progress through the game. It goes like this: the more hours you’ve got into the game, the more the level of your ship and character will be, but that isn’t the only thing that increases. So do bounty hunters’ strength and numbers.

There’s a way to remove the Wanted level that’ll ensure you don’t need to constantly be engaged in some escape or combat at all times, and here’s everything that we know about it.

How to remove Wanted in Starfield

If you’re Wanted in Starfield, no matter what you do, you will need to engage in combat every once in a while as you come across bounty hunters; while taking over ships and fighting them is fun and games, it becomes hard to deal with once all you’re doing is traveling to another galaxy. Removing the Wanted trait might require you to go a bit out of your way for a few minutes, but it’s worth the effort, so here’s how you could remove the Wanted trait in Starfield!

First, you must spend a few credits to eliminate the Wanted status. Specifically, you’ll need to throw in about 3,000 Credits to a specific vending machine called – Trackers Alliance Agent. The machine allows for “Self-Service Bounty Clearance”.

A Trackers Alliance Agent can be found in almost all the major cities, but as of right now, we’ve been able to track two of them down: the first one being in The Well in New Atlantis, while the other one can be found at the entryway of Cydonia on Mars.

Just ensure you’ve got enough credits when heading towards one of these locations, and hope you don’t have to encounter another bounty hunter en route to the agent. Once you’ve located one of those, interact with them, and if you’ve got a Wanted trait, you’ll see a special dialog box that says, “Discuss the matter of your bounty”. Choose the said option, and eventually, the agent will agree on an amount of 3,000 Credits to be exchanged to eliminate the Wanted trait.

Doing this, however, has a few drawbacks; for starters, you will lose the Wanted trait permanently, and this will cause a few things to happen, such as the fact that a few of the unique responses that you might have when persuading an NPC will not be available to you anymore (they’ll disappear), other than this, the damage output you have when at low health might take a hit and decrease to a fairly noticeable point (meaning that the perk will be removed). Lastly, you will never be able to get the Wanted trait back, so choose wisely!

That’s everything you need to know about how you could remove the Wanted trait in Starfield.
