Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty: What to pick in Waiting for Dodger?

If you’re facing the dilemma of the “Waiting For Dodger” gig in Cyberpunk 2077’s latest DLC, you’ve come to the right place. Keep reading this article until the end as I cover everything to know!

There are many, and I mean it when I say many gigs and side gigs to complete in Phantom Liberty and one of them is “Waiting for Dodger”. In this particular one, you’ll be sent to assist two officers, and while the mission isn’t too hard to complete, there are a few decisions to be made when confronting Dodger.

What to pick in Waiting for Dodger in Phantom Liberty?

Essentially, the decision to be made here is whether you should tell Dodger that the officers are lying or telling the truth, along with another option to draw out your weapon. What you do here can either work in your favor or cause complete chaos; hence, keep reading as we analyze all of the decisions and their aftermath so you can choose one that’ll benefit you! Here it is-

NOTE: To make it to this point of the gig, ensure you don’t kill any enemies when you enter the base. You can go for non-lethal silent takedowns, but going in guns-blazing will probably not end well.

In the final confrontation that you’ll need to have in the garage with Dodger at the end of the gig, you’ll need to answer Dodger when he asks if the officers are telling the truth or lying or to draw out your weapon as we’ve mentioned, here’s every one of those situations analyzed. (spoiler alert)

If you choose to tell Dodger that the officers are telling the truth OR if you draw out your weapon

If you choose to tell Dodger that the officers are telling the truth OR if you draw out your weapon

Choosing either of these options will eventually or instantly cause a gunfight between you and Dodger’s crew along with Dodger. It doesn’t take a lot of effort to defeat them, and there’s much to gain from this encounter than there is to lose as if you choose either of these options, you’ll be able to loot the Iconic Rosco Power Revolver from Dodger’s body once you’ve eliminated Dodger.

If you were to say that the officers are lying

If you were to say that the officers are lying

Saying that the officers are lying will lead to them spilling the truth, which, somehow, Dodger will find to be humorous and given the same, he eventually decides to let Bill and Charles walk away. However, he is contingent on all enemies in the base being alive if even one of them is found dead; there’s only one way all of this ends, and that’s pure chaos.

Finally, given all of the options you’ve got, there are only two ways by which all of this will end: either you be forced to kill Dodger and his crew or walk away from the confrontation in one piece. In this situation, we decided to eliminate Dodger and his crew directly, as doing that didn’t just save us a few seconds. Still, it also fetched us the Dodger’s Special Iconic Rosco Power Revolver! If you don’t need it, you can always choose the peaceful approach, as we like to term it.

That’s everything you should know about what to pick in “Waiting for Dodger” in Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty DLC.
