Best Wand Hogwarts Legacy – When doing the Welcome to Hogsmeade quest, you will have to meet Ollivanders, where you will get your very own Wand that you can customize according to your liking but, of course, within a certain set of options. Remember that your choice of Wand is crucial because you won’t get an option to customize or change it again in the whole game.
So this article will guide you on choosing the best type of Wand and how to customize it in Hogwarts Legacy.
Best Wand Type to choose in Hogwarts Legacy
As soon as you reach Hogsmeade, among the other tasks you get, visiting Ollivanders for your Wand might be the most important one, as you can choose your very own Wand and customize it according to the given parameters. We can also suggest the combination type that the most popular characters from the books and movies used to have.
When you get to Ollivanders, a cutscene will start, and you will have some choices of Wand shown to you by him. Remember that all of these Wands and their customizations are cosmetic and don’t affect gameplay at all. So we might be unable to justify which Wand is the best for casting spells or damaging with it because, use case-wise, every wand is the same. It is all about designing the Wand and what type of look you would want to have on it. You will have the option of picking up whatever wand you want to pick.
Wand Customizations
As we said earlier, you would choose the best type of Wand based on design and your customizations. So there are three different pillars of choosing your Wands. You can toggle between the wand customization options using the R1 or L1 button on your Playstation Controller or by pressing the button on the keyboard.
Style of the Wand
You can change the style of the wand and have three colour options for each of the Wand Appearances. The options revolve around making your Wand look either like a normal stick or a crooked look with or without a handle.
Wood Type
With this option, you can change the type of wood your wand is made up of and adjust the length and flexibility.
Wand Core Options
Here you will have a total of three wand core options to choose from
- Dragon Heartstring
- Unicorn Hair
- Phoenix Feather
Can you change your Wand after customizing it?
No. You cannot change your Wand after customising your first Wand at Ollivanders during the Welcome to Hogsmeade quest. These choices will be locked for you for the full game, and the only way to get a new Wand is to restart the game using another available Game Slot. You can choose the available game slot when it appears at the start of the game.
