Things that are going to get carried over to Diablo 4 Season 1

The developers of Diablo 4 have revealed that some things that will be carried over the seasons are map fog of war progress, Altars of Lilith, and campaign skips.

Keep reading the following guide to find out all that there is to know about what all does and does not get carried over to seasons, including how players can carry over their progress in Season 1.

What all gets carried over to Seasons?

Campaign Skip for Seasonal Characters

Campaign Skip for Seasonal Characters

When players create Seasonal characters, they can skip the campaign, as was mentioned in the Developer live stream on the 6th of July. So this allows the players to immediately experience the new Malignant Heartplay gameplay mechanics and the game’s new story questlines without re-doing the entire campaign. However, keep in mind that players must first complete the main story of Diablo 4 on any of the one characters in their account if they want to access the Skip Campaign feature during the season.

Mounts Carry Over Once Unlocked During Act 4 of Diablo 4

Once the players have completed Mount: Donan’s Favor Priority Quest for the first time, for every future character that the players make, Mounts are also confirmed to be unlocked permanently. This unlock will also extend to the other Seasonal Characters players might use, using their account. After players complete A Master’s Touch and then reach Act 4 of the game’s main story, then in Kyovashad, from the Stable Master Oskar, you can get and complete this quest.

Stat and Renown Bonuses from Altars of Lilith in Diablo 4

As confirmed in the Livestream, any Murmuring Obol and stat increases that players receive from finding the Altars of Lilith will get carried over. Moreover, the Renowns that players earn from such will also get carried over to the seasonal characters that players create. Ensure you also activate all the Altars of Lilith in the game to maximize the efficiency for your future seasons before Season 1 starts on the 20th of July, 2023. This helps give your character a big headstart at the start of the new seasons.

World Map Discovery and Renown Bonuses in Diablo 4

It has also been confirmed that in the Eternal Realm, the discovery of your World map will get carried over to Seasons, and in the process, remove the fog of war for all of your Seasonal Characters. This will be the case, provided players have already uncovered the entire world. Moreover, from the discovery of different locations, renowned earned in each such region will also get carried over, thus giving you access to the first few Renown bonuses during the start of each season, as early as level 1.

Weapon and Armor Transmogs in Diablo 4

Lastly, during the live stream’s Q and A segment, it was also confirmed that in any of the Eternal Realm, the Weapons and Armor Transmogs that players have unlocked and also any of the Shop Cosmetics that the players have bought will be carried over too. So if you are one of those worried about their hard-earned cosmetics and transmogs, you can now rest easy.

What all does not carry over to Seasons in Diablo 4

It has been confirmed that the following items will not be carried over to Season 1: Aspects in your Codex of Power, Currencies like Red dust, Murmuring Obols and Gold, Upgrade Materials like Salvage, Ores, Plants, Monster Parts and Skins, and Items in your Stash. Players cannot access all of these when they use a seasonal character. However, upon the end of a season, all the players earn, including the character, will transfer to the Eternal Realm. This includes the various cosmetics and items you farm during the season during your seasonal character.

How to Carry Over Progress to Seasons in Diablo 4

It has been made very clear in the game that this process of carrying over will be a little clunky. To carry over from Eternal Realm, players must, from July 18 onwards, log in to Diablo 4 using any or all of their accounts. The best practice would be to use a character that you have already maxed out map discovery renown and Altars of Lilith, as doing so will register the data of that character and then further transfer it to any of the future characters that you might make in both of the realms in Diablo 4.

That pretty much sums up everything there is to know about Things that will get carried over to Diablo 4 Season 1.
