The Back to Vectera mission assigns you quite a lot of objectives, and “Listen to Emergency Transmission 02” is one of them. In this mission, Crimson Fleet has captured Barrett, and your job is to rescue him. While doing the mission, you visit a Crashed Ship, where you meet an NPC called Heller. After talking to him, you get the objective “Listen to Emergency Transmission 02”. But the question is how?
How to Listen to Emergency Transmission 02 – Back to Vectera Guide
Looking at the mission, you would think that you would have to go somewhere to listen to the transmission, as it is for most missions in Starfield. But that is not the case here. In order to Listen to Emergency Transmission 02:
- Open your Inventory.
- Select Notes from the list.
- There you will find the Emergency Transmission 02.
- Just click on it to start listening.
- After you are done listening you objective will get updated, and you will be tasked to visit Bessel III.
After jumping to Bessel III, land on Ranked Research Outpost. There, you will have to fight some enemies from the Crimson Fleet, and eliminate Matsura. Go back to your ship to continue with the mission, as you won’t find Barrett there. But you have freed him.
All that is left to do is go back to The Lodge at Jemison-Alpha Centauri and talk to Barrett. Once you are done you will successfully complete the Back to Vectera Mission.
