Starfield: Grav Jump Pending – How to Power Up Grav Drive

Playing Starfield requires you to have full knowledge about your Ship and how everything functions. If you ask me, ships in Starfield could appear really complex, but once you learn everything about them, they get fascinating. Now, since we are talking about ships, we obviously have to talk about Grav Jumping in Starfield. Grav Jump is used for traveling between Stars. You will be using it quite frequently during missions, so it is necessary that you fully know how it works. Now, if you are at the beginning phase of the game when everything in your ship is default, you might not have any issues. It is after you have changed your ship or made a few changes, you might face some. The “GRAV JUMP PENDING – Power Up Grav Drive” is one of them. Here is what to do:

Grav Jump Pending - Starfield

How to Power Up Grav Drive

Before we head over straight to the answer, first, let’s understand how the console of your ship works. In the middle of your screen, you have the target finder or your pointer. On the left side of your screen, you have your Ship’s HP and Shield. It is actually the right side, which is the most important part of your ship. The first three bars are for your Weapons, and the next three bars are for your Engine and Shield. Here is what they stand for:

  • ENG: Engine
  • SHD: Shield
  • GRV: Grav Drive

Below those bars is a horizontal bar that shows how many points you have in total, which you can allocate to those 6 bars on top. The more points you put on a bar, the better it will perform. For example, If you keep on increasing points on your ENG, the speed of your Ship will keep on increasing. Similarly, if you want your Grav Drive or Grav Jump to work, you will need to allocate points to it (At least 1 point).

Hence, if you are getting the GRAV JUMP PENDINGon your screen when you are trying to Fast Travel to a different star, it means that your GRV doesn’t have any points allocated to it. This can actually cause you to get eliminated when you are trying to escape a fight. So, allocate at least a point to that. If you are out of point, just take a point from one of the other 5 bars.

You select bars by pressing the Left and Right Arrow keys, and you increase or decrease points using the Up and Down Arrow keys.

Go ahead and do that. You should be able to use your Grav Jump again.
