Spelunky 2 – Run Button not working – How to fix
Spelunky 2 just got released for PC and it is doing extremely well. The game actually came out for the consoles few weeks ago, so everybody already knows how good the game really is.
With that being said, it looks like players are running into various bugs and glitches in the game. A lot of Steam users are already experiencing startup issues with the game. And now a new bug has popped up. Players are claiming that the Run or Walk button is not working on their keyboards.
This bug is taking place only on keyboards as controller users haven’t reported anything like this yet. So, is there a fix?
How to fix this bug
The first thing you should know, that this is indeed a bug and nothing is wrong with your peripherals or your PC hardware. A lot of posts regarding this bug are popping on the Steam discussions page of Spelunky 2. And so far, I don’t think any working fix has come up.
But a Steam user has surely found a workaround. Here is what Steam user JimmyJonesII has to say regarding this issue:
Pause > Options > Controls > Config > Scroll to the bottom.
I turned autorun off so it’s like Spelunky 1 and it works.
It looks like he is asking everyone to turn off autorun until this bug gets fixed. Here is the link to the original post. And the good news is you will find a comment from a developer on that post. This is a confirmation that this is indeed a bug and the devs are working to fix it as soon as possible.
