Starfield Co-op – Many Starfield fans have been wondering whether the game will have Multiplayer ever since the news that the game will have more than a thousand planets to explore has come out. Also, because the game has taken inspiration from numerous other multiplayer space games, like Elite Dangerous and No Man’s Sky, it will be fun to see it all here in the game so that it becomes one of the best games of Xbox co-op.
Does the game Starfield have Multiplayer or not?
Sadly, the game does not have co-op or multiplayer mode. For the game, this feature has not been announced anywhere, and Bethesda has suggested that the game has been planned for Xbox Series X/S and PC. So it is not clear at all if this will change anytime in the future or not.
In 2020, Todd Howard noted in an interview that the game would be a single-player game even though with Fallout 76 and Elder Scrolls online in the past, the team had learned from the experiences.
Did Bethesda’s other games have multiplayer?
Only Fallout 76 has had multiplayer in the past, and all other games by the studio for PC or Consoles have been in single-player mode only, including The Elder Scrolls 5, Skyrim, and Fallout 4. The game Fallout 76 had been developed primarily by another studio, their Austin team, rather than their Maryland team of Maryland.
The game Starfield is already in itself very ambitious. The game’s experience is already a lot, and Bethesda here is already shooting for the moon. Adding the multiplayer feature would have caused ‘scope creep’, making the game too ambitious. This is when the scale and scope of the game slowly get bigger, outpacing the developer team’s possibilities, so unless Bethesda is keen on spending much time post-launch to create such a mode, it is unlikely that players will get to see the co-op mode.
