You can stack objects by simply dragging one object on top of the other. Firstly, you need to select the object that you want to stack. Hold your left mouse button and drag it on top of the object that you want to stack it on. Remember that you should be near the object when stacking objects in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Apart from the objects, you can even stack items that are there in your inventory. All you need to do is select the item from the inventory and right-click on it. Choose the Drop option from the menu to drop the item so that you can select it and stack the item on an object.
It is a bit obvious that dragging or stacking objects in Baldur’s Gate does require you to have your character physically strong. In this game, the higher the Strength Ability score you possess, the more objects you can move farther all at once, and this is particularly necessary when you are carrying objects or parts to your stacking location.
How does Stacking objects help in Baldur’s Gate 3
There are three uses of Stacking in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Reach higher grounds
As soon as you start stacking objects, you can use them to climb and reach the higher areas of the game. After stacking the boxes, simply right-click on the crate and then click on the Climb On Option.
You can stack the Wooden Crates and climb on top of it. However, you can also use the Jump Action to quickly reach to the top of the crates that you have stacked. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of room for you to stand on the stacked boxes.
Height Advantage
You can also use the stacking method to get a height advantage. You can stack a couple of Wooden boxes and climb on top of it, and this will prevent the melee attackers from reaching you. Furthermore, you can use different casting spells and use long-range attacks while you are standing on the higher ground.
Stack barrels for Explosions
You can stack barrels that are filled with alcohol. Hit them using the Arrow of Fire, and this will increase the range and intensity of the explosion. All you need to do is strategically stack all the barrels on the field and make sure you are not near them while hitting them with the Arrow of Fire. Detonate those barrels as soon as you see enemies in its proximity.
