How to Pickpocket Merchants in Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Like the previous Assassin’s Creed Games, pickpocketing in AC Mirage is pretty straightforward. Stealing is also one of the critical elements of this game, as Basim is already a trained street thief, and Ubisoft made a smart addition to the game by making this skill essential for most of the missions you will encounter.
Getting back to the point, follow these steps to Pickpocket Merchants in Assassin’s Creed Mirage
- Target a merchant that you would want to steal from.
- Blend in on a nearby bench or within the crowd by pressing E.
- Once you find the Merchant is not noticing or is busy, come out of the Blend Mode by pressing E again.
- Press C to crouch and get behind him. (stealth mode)
- Press E to Pickpocket items from Merchants.
Ensure that the blue, glowing triangle doesn’t become red while pickpocketing; otherwise, the Merchant will get alerted, and you will have guards running behind you in no time. And losing guards in AC Mirage is pretty hectic as you will need to run and jump around a lot to save yourself from the Templars.
You will be able to learn the art of Pickpocketing during the Prologue mission, “The Master Thief of Anbar”, where you will be tasked to meet with Dervis along with Nehal. You won’t face any issues while learning how to pickpocket items from Merchants in Mirage, as Nehal will be your initial guide on when and where to steal.
After stealing from the final merchant, Templars will chase you, and all you need to do is run for your life to Escape the guards. You can use the combination of WASD to move around, and if you press the Shift key, Basim will start running. Remember, while being chased, press the Alt key on your keyboard to dodge Templars if you see them right ahead quickly. Once you have successfully evaded the Templars, you will meet Dervis (but make sure you are anonymous first). Being anonymous is the first thing you should do before starting with a mission, as you won’t be able to do that until and unless you evade the Heat that is on you. Try to stay out of their line of sight to break the chase.
