Like My Time at Portia, My Time at Sandrock takes place in a wholesome post-apocalyptic world 300 years after the Day of Calamity destroyed most modern technologies. You arrive in Sandrock after accepting the job of Sandrock’s newest builder. It is your job to return this rusty city to its former glory. Gather resources to build machines, befriend locals, and defend Sandrock from monsters. All while saving the town from economic ruin.
The Grinder is a crafting station that you can unlock once you have made enough progress in the game. Grinders help you craft pipes, rivets, gears and wires in My time at Sandrock. So this article will guide you on how to unlock and use Grinder in My Time at Sandrock.
How to get Grinder in My Time at Sandrock
The Grinder can be unlocked by doing research at the Lab. Head over to the Research lab located on the southeast part of the map, and you will have to speak to Qi. Qi is a lab technician. Once you interact with him, choose Research, and now you will be able to trade for Data Disks so that you can unlock the new Grinder recipes. You are making the Grinder will cost you up to three data disks and will take a total of a day in-game time to unlock it from the research center itself.
Data disks can be acquired by salvaging them from the scrap piles near Eufaula Salvage Yard or in the Ruins. You can also buy data disks from the Rock’s Shop at Eufaula Salvage Yard. Speed up the whole research process by spending more data disks. But we wouldn’t advise that because the research time is in-game units and not in real-time, so you won’t have to wait for a day to get your Grinder. Instead, save up your data disks for other crafting uses.
How to make the Grinder in My Time at Sandrock
You need the following items to build a Grinder once you have unlocked it in My Time at Sandrock
- Six Bricks
- Two Bearings
- Four Bronze Bars
How to use Grinder in My Time at Sandrock
Once you have fully built your Grinder you will be able to process the Bronze and Copper bars into
- Copper Screws
- Copper Pipe
- Pistol Bullets
- Rubber Ring
- Bronze Pipes
Apart from crafting all of these items, the Grinder can craft more items as well if you can manage to obtain the crafting books from the Commerce Guild. The Grinder is upgradable to a Civil Grinder with which you can craft more items and can have two production research running at the same time which not only saves time but can help you produce and craft more.
