A lot of players who are using Ultrawide Monitors are facing this Ultrawide FOV issue when trying to play Palworld. This seems to be a common issue for the Unreal Engine games where the game doesn’t scale with the ultrawide resolution, and it causes the game to get cropped. This has been a daunting issue for a couple of ultrawide monitor users, but we have a fix for it.
So, in this article, we will guide you on how to fix Ultrawide FOV in Palworld.
How to fix Ultrawide FOV in Palworld
To fix the Ultrawide FOV in Palworld, all you need to do is
- Exit the Game first.
- Quit Steam.
- Press Win + R to open the Run Window.
- Enter the following Folder on the search bar – Address %LocalAppData%\Pal\Saved\Config\Windows\Engine.ini and press Run
- Add the following string at the bottom of the ini file
[/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV - Save the ini and change its properties to Read Only. You should do this to avoid the game reverting back to the default settings.
If you are not able to save the changes, then first launch the game, then close it, and then follow the steps above. After you are done, relaunch the game again.
Remember that the above fix is for the Steam Version of the Game. If you are playing on the Xbox Gamepass Version, you can find the file at AppData\Local\Pal\Saved\Config\WinGDK.
SirTytan, a Reddit user and a Palworld Player, identified and fixed this issue. You can check out the Reddit thread here.
