As you probably know by now, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2022) is still in early access, it’ll be completely released on the 28th of October 2022.
Regardless, as history tells us, almost every game that’s in Early-access is bound to face some bugs.
The game by far has released 17 missions, and some of them are facing bugs. One such mission is the Cartel Protection mission.

In this mission, the players have reported that even after eliminating the required enemies, the game still asks for the players to hold their positions, and if they try to move any further, they are eliminated automatically.
Moreover, the mission does not progress even after eliminating all the enemies. This can be a tricky situation to be in, and there’s only one simple solution to it, which is as follows:
How to Fix the Cartel Protection Mission Bug in Modern Warfare 2
To fix the bug, you’ll be required to restart the mission, which is a bummer, but to actually progress through the game, this is what you’ll have to do.
You have to be careful once you’ve restarted the mission, especially when you find yourself being on the second floor in the large house when you’re attacked by the Mexican Army.
In this situation itself, sometime later, Ghost and Alejandro will start having a conversation, which will be after the second wave of the enemies is held off, right before the RPG ambush. Here, you must wait until Ghost and Alejandro finish their conversation completely.
Now, following the conversation, you must be at the window, holding down your fire. Do so, until Alejandro orders you otherwise. Moreover, do not jump over the window, until Alejandro orders you to do so, either.
Once you’ve done that, all you’ve got to do is complete the rest of the mission, which is to just eliminate all the enemies. From there, the mission should go on about smoothly, and you will progress in the game.
This bug seems to take place only when the players seem to be in a hurry to complete the mission, and go on at a pace that is too fast. Moreover, you are required to hear the full conversation between Ghost and Alejandro, which, if you’re moving too fast, you’ll be likely to skip, causing the bug.
