How to Counter Zombies in Dead Island 2

Countering is pretty easy in the game. All that you need to do is simply Block or Dodge right before the connection of the enemy attack. Upon doing so, the zombies will be stunned for a while, giving you a button prompt. Then, you can simply press the X or the square button to counter. You can even eliminate them if their health is low.

How to Block Zombies in Dead Island 2

Similar to how you dodge in the game, you need to use your defense skill card and block the zombies. However, blocking can be a bit trickier compared to dodging. This is owing to the fact that unlike dodging where you simply move away from the zombies, when you block, it is fairly easy for a bunch of zombies to gang up against you.

How to Dodge Zombies in Dead Island 2

On your Playstation Controller, press the L1 button to dodge the zombies. If you are playing on your xbox, you can dodge by pressing LB. Using this button allows you to use your defense skill card. However make note of the fact that when you start your gameplay, immediately you can’t dodge the enemy attacks. You will first have to unlock the skill. After you get handcuffed by Emma, you unlock the Dodge skill, which is an Ability skill card.

Using this skill is fairly easy. Upon pressing the button, you will swiftly move by a slight distance towards the direction you move. By default, when the button is pressed, it will make you dash a little forward. While dodging, make use of your left joystick to move in your desired direction.
