To check the ping in the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 game, all you need to do is:
- Start COD MW2.
- When the Main Menu loads up, press the Start button and then press R1 three times to get to the settings tab.
- Select the Controller Settings and press L2 to switch between the different game settings available. This is much different from the Call of Duty Black Ops or Call of Duty Vanguard.
- Select the Interface Tab and scroll down until you find the Telemetry options.
- The Telemetry options include Server Latency, Packet Loss, and System Clock.
- Choose “Custom” from the drop-down menu just beside Telemetry.
- Turn the Server Latency and Packet Loss options ON.

- On PC, you can just go to Settings > Interface > Telemetry.
- Set it to Custom, and then click on ‘Show More’ to reveal all the widgets.
- Turn on Server Latency and Packer Loss.
The Telemetry settings are the central hub for hardware and network monitoring and are displayed at the top of the screen.
You can pick from three Telemetry options, The Essentials, which includes almost all the hardware and network widgets; all On Preset, which turns all Telemetry widgets on and All off, which turns off all the Telemetry Widgets.
These widgets will help you display all your networking and ping statistics so that you check them with just a glance.
