Select the Correct Audio Output
Sometimes the primary sound output switches for random reasons, but this primarily happens when you plug in a new audio controller or a second audio device. You can change the Audio results by
- Check the lower right corner of the screen, and you will find a speaker icon on the system tray that you need to right-click.
- The Sound Settings will open up.
- Select the output device under the Sound Tab that you want to use.
- Click on OK and then exit.
- Now try restarting WWE 2K23.
Try using 3.5mm Wired Headphones instead of Wireless Headphones.
If your problem persists, try using a Wired Gaming Headphone rather than a Wireless one. There are two types of Wired Headphones. One that comes with USB and one with the 3.5mm jack. Use the 3.5mm jack version, and then try rerunning WWE 2K23. I can tell this from my experience because I use HyperX Cloud Stinger Wireless Gaming Headphones, and I have seen the issue happening; hence we also assume that this game is the same. The problem disappeared when I used my MSI Gaming Headphones with a 3.5mm Audio jack. We also have reports that people face issues with USB Powered headphones. The best way to avoid this issue is by using a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Switch the Format of the Playback device.
If the game audio is not routed through the Native Windows settings, this can lead to many sound issues. To avoid this, you can do the following.
- Find the speaker icon in the system tray and right-click on the speaker icon.
- From the Sounds, select the default playback device.
- Right-click and choose properties
- Click on the Advanced Tab option
- Change the Format to 16bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality), or 24-bit 96000 Hz as output.
Disable Windows Sonic or Spatial Sound
Since the Windows Spatial Sound or Sonic is buggy, please disable it for now.
Enable all the Enhancements
Disabling the Enhancements can also lead to audio issues or sound loss. You can try out the following method.
- Go to the Sound
- Then Select the Playback Tab
- Right on the Playback devices
- Select Properties and click on the Enhancements
Update the Audio Drivers
If nothing seems to be working, then try updating the audio drivers. A lot of the other websites will tell you this, but reinstalling/updating the audio drivers is only needed when you are having issues playing not only WWE 2K23 but all the games on your system.
The advice is simple, i.e., update the audio drivers by downloading and installing the software by visiting the motherboard manufacturer’s official website/audio device manufacturer’s website. If your audio drivers are corrupted, then not only WWE 2K23 will be affected, but all the games in your system. If it works well with other apps and games, you needn’t update anything.
Furthermore, if you are still unsatisfied, uninstall and reinstall a fresh copy of the Audio drivers by downloading it. But remember, do not download any essential drivers from any 3rd party random websites.
