Here are the two ways of raising Affinity in Dragon’s Dogma 2:
By Gifting
Giving gifts is the best that you can do to raise your affinity with them, especially if you give them items that they will like. All you need to do is check what items the NPC likes by getting to the NPC Logbook. You will find this in the History Tab under the Pause Menu.
By Completing Quests
Increase affinity by completing side quests. Find quests from NPCs that you will fetch you the maximum affinity possible. You can also romance NPCs by finishing quests and increasing affinity with them.

These are the benefits that you will receive:
Get Gifts
You will get special gift items like Tomes, which you can use to get a pawn under the Pawn Specialization.
Get Items at home
You will also get items delivered to your home if you have a high affinity with someone in Vernworth.
Get Special Discounts
Having high affinity will help you fetch good discounts at different stores whenever you buy items, weapons and armor. You will be able to get expensive items for cheap if you have a good bond with the merchant or shopkeeper.
How to check affinity
There are two ways to check affinity in DD2.
- Adventure Log book – You can check your affinity using the Adventure Logbook which you can find in the History Tab.
- Blush when Grabbed – The NPCs that have a maximum affinity will blush and rest on your arms whenever you grab them. If they don’t like you they will not allow you to grab them.
