Yes, it does matter. The game is made to be a narrative-driven action RPG, and your experience will depend on your choices. The game will feature choices that influence rewards, endings, and quest outcomes. So, in this article, we will talk about Choices in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
All the Choices That Matter in Dragon’s Dogma 2
These are the choices that matter in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
- Face the Dragon or Sacrifice the Beloved
- Speak to Pathfinder
- Dying the Unmoored World
- Select a Prisoner or Hooded Prisoner
- Character Size
- Select a Pawn Present or Create a New
Face the Dragon or Sacrifice the Beloved
While doing the Legacy Quest, you can choose between facing the dragon or sacrificing your beloved to become the Sovran. Slaying the dragon will lead to a good ending where you will be a hero amongst the commoners. However, if you wish to sacrifice your beloved, the people will be less happy about the decision, but you will still become a Sovran. You will have to live with the guilt of sacrificing your beloved.
Speak to Pathfinder
Suppose you wish to interact with the Pathfinder during the Credit Scene of the good ending. You will be allowed to go back in time to use the Godsbane Blade during the fight with the Dragon. Remember that this will also lead you to the Unmoored World, where you can undertake various challenges to reverse your choices and face the dragon one last time!
Dying the Unmoored World
You can Give up if you die anytime in the Unmoored World. However, if you give up, another ending sequence will play where you must fall on your knees to see the destroyed world because of losing the chance to rewrite them!
Select a Prisoner or Hooded Prisoner
If you choose a prisoner, you can play with a preset character. However, if you choose a hooded prisoner, then it will take you to the Character Creation Menu. But remember that apart from race, everything will change in the future.
Character Size
The physical appearance of the character also matters in Dragon’s Dogma 2. So ensure you correctly choose your weight, mobility, stamina, etc. It is advisable to balance out your character, but you are free to come back anytime and change most of your Character aspects!
Select a Pawn Preset or Create a New one.
Once you reach the first stronghold with Justin, you can create your first pawn. However, remember that your choice of Human or Beastren cannot be changed.
The Choices that don’t matter
These are the choices that don’t matter in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Vocation
The Vocation you choose at the game’s start is changeable and can be changed to different vocations, regardless of whether it is a starter or advanced vocation. You can interact with the Vocation Guild NPC to do it.
Monikers
You can select a moniker and your name as an alternative for the Online Game Features. However, it doesn’t affect the game’s story or dialogue.
So that was all about the choices you make in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
