How to get Port Crystals

Remember that there are only 2 Port Crystals on the World Map, but you will find three more as you unlock the Unmoored World Map. So that makes a total of 5 Port Crystals that you can find.

Port Crystals How to Get
Vernworth Portcrystal You will find this Portcrystal outside the building that contains the Grand Riftstone of Vermund.
Harve Village Portcrystal This Portcrystal can be found in the southwest part of Harve Village. Reaching this location can be easy as you must travel west out of Vernworth and then take the southwest following the Shore.
Sacred Arbor Portcrystal You will have access to this Portcrystal after completing the Legacy Quest and initiating the True Ending. It will be found on the northern side of the Sacred Arbor.
Seafloor Shrine Portcrystal This is found a bit towards the East of the Seafloor Shrine. Like the Sacred Arbor Portcrystal, you will get it after completing the Legacy Quest and initiating the True Ending.
Agamen Volcanic Island Portcrystal This Portcrystal is found along the shore if you go south east of Bakbattahl. Although it won’t be available immediately as you reach the Agamen Volcanic area, similar to the last two portals we have discussed, you will get it only after completing the Legacy Quest and initiating the True Ending.

You can get Portable Port Crystals by

Reward from Trial of Archery Side Quest You can get this during the mentioned side quest once you start talking to Glyndwr at Roderick’s Smithy in Vernworth.
Forested Griffins Nest Get to the Forested Griffins Nest in the Misty Marshes, located west of Vernworth and north of Checkpoint Rest Town.
Reward from Feast of Deception Quest You can also get it as a reward by completing the Feast of Deception Main Quest.
Dragonforged Purchase it Dragonforged near the Bay of Wayside Shrine, which is located north of Bakbattahl, for 20 Wrymslife Crystals.
Purchased from Store You can microtransact for $2.99 to get it from the Microsoft Store, Steam, or Playstation Store.

Best Portcrystal Placement Location

We suggest you put a port crystal in Bakbattahl as it has no crystals. However, we will briefly discuss the other opportunities as well.

Port Crystal Placement Location Placement
Bakbattahl You will need to travel a lot to and from, so it is a great idea to drop a Portable Portcrystal. You can set it up in front of your house.
Volcanic Island Camp and Excavation Site This is a prime location to place a Portcrystal; neither location has oxcart routes.
Sacred Arbor Even Sacred Arbor doesn’t have an oxcart route, so it isn’t easy to get there by foot. So make sure to place on whenever you are there so you don’t have tread distances as it is pretty far from Vernworth.

How to use Portcrystals

The Portcrystals can be used in the following ways.

  1. You can place the Portcrystal where you would want to warp. You can put it anywhere on the map (outdoors only). You can always pick them up and reuse them if you wish.
  2. Interact with Portcrystals One time to activate them, and then you warp them anytime you want. For example, you will initially encounter one such Portcrystal at Vernworth during the Seat of the Sovran Quest. Interact with it to activate it.
  3. You can also consume a Ferrystone, which instantly lets you teleport to where you have placed or activated the Port Crystal. Ferrystones can be found by looting from chests or purchasing them from the store. You can also get it in exchange for the First Seeker’s Token at a guild or inn. (However, there are some places on the map that won’t teleport you even if you consume a ferry stone)

So that was all about Portcrystals and how to get them in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
