Fishing is bugged in AC Valhalla
What is this bug all about?
A lot of posts have suddenly started popping up on the forums, where many people are claiming that fishing is bugged in AC Valhalla at the moment. According to their statements, fishes are suddenly disappearing and there are far less fishes to be seen than usual.
There are plenty of posts about this bug on the forums, with more being added every hour. Lets take a look at what players are saying. The guy who was the first to post about this bug had to say this :
I’ve been trying to snag ocean fish for turn-in, however, I get no fish spawning in the ocean or the ocean coast. I can usually go to a river inlet and get some of them, but it’s more of a pain.
A post from another user experiencing the same problem:
I’ve been trying to do the fishing deliveries as I go. I started fishing off the coast of east anglia and the fish are few and far between, and when I find fish they will despawn as I cast.
Is there a fix?
Unfortunately, there has not been any fix to this bug yet. The first guy posted about this bug on November 16. It is November 27, and posts about this bug are still coming in. This obviously means that Ubisoft has not bothered to fix this issue.
Here is an update about this bug from a forum user:
This bug is still NOT FIXED! The coastal fish in England (kent and sussex) STILL VANISH in less than 1 second and the fish in Norway are at least spawning but STILL VANISHING after 20 seconds to 1 minute. In 2 hours of continuous fishing in Norway I have managed to catch 8 fish (3 x regular mackerel, 1 x regular hake, 3 x small mackerel 1 x big redfish) and STILL NO BIG MACKEREL! 90 minutes downloading an update that did almost nothing!
The good news is, an Ubisoft Support Staff has already released a word on this. This means that this bug has finally entered their radar, so a patch is probably going to drop soon. Here is what he has to say:
