WWE 2K24 reintroduced the very popular Special Guest Referee Match, enabling you to revisit the incident in the 1997 Survivor Series from the point of view of the match referee. And if you want to recreate the Screwjob in a match of your own, then in this article, we will talk about how to do or perform a Screwjob in WWE 2K24.
How to do Screwjob in WWE 2K24
Remember that to perform a Screwjob, you only need to hold the X or the A button during submission during the Special Guest Referee Match.
The Screwjob is an action that can be performed by the referee only during the match because it is their decision how the game will turn out. But before you can do this, you need to show some positivity towards the superstar, and here is how you can do it
- Either attack the opposing wrestler
- You can also favor the currently attacking wrestler with fast pinfalls, count-outs, and other actions.
- You can also argue with the Opponent wrestler by pressing the Up button on your D-Pad.
This specific Screwjob action replicates an infamous moment when Shawn Micheals defeated Bret Hart via submission. Even though Hart was not tapped out, Shawn Micheals was crowned the victory in that iconic match. Remember that his action is only available when a submission is made, and it’s not a disqualification or pinfall. Screwjob will require the referee to advise the match officials that the match is over and the attacking wrestler has claimed victory. Since it is a controversial win, the crowd won’t take it positively and will respond with booing.
Because this is deliberate tampering of a match result, you will be penalized, and your approval scores and the officiating duties will be erased. That being said, a Screwjob is something that you wouldn’t want to do if you are looking to be a fair referee, but otherwise, there is no harm in performing the Screwjob.
So that is all about how to do or perform a Screwjob in WWE 2K24.
