Selecting your starting character in Gotham Knights can be crucial. You need to know everything each hero offers and how it might affect your gameplay style, so you can nail your enemies in no time.
Gotham Knights is a third-person action-adventure RPG game developed by Warner Brothers, Games Montreal, and QLOC. The game was finally released after much hype and anticipation because it was one of the most awaited games of the Year.
The game’s events occur after Batman’s death, and a new criminal underworld activity sweeps through the streets of Gotham City. And it’s now time for the members of the Bat Family to bring back hope to its residents and induct fear among the criminals. The adventure also leads you to find and solve different mysteries that are tied to the darkest stories in the city and take down iconic villains.
This year, WB gave us the option of choosing our favorite character. It is great to see we are getting to pick different characters that are based on different playstyles. We have listed the four other characters and what to expect out of them in Gotham Knights, thus helping you select which character to start with in Gotham Knights.
Which Character to Choose in Gotham Knights
You can start within the Gotham Knights game with four main playable characters.
- Batgirl
- Red Hood
- Nightwing
- Robin
Batgirl
The Batgirl, also known as Barbara Gordon, is the daughter of Commissioner Gordon. She is an elite and very experienced hacker who goes by the name of Oracle, who can take out the enemy’s security cameras and mainly takes the stealth combat approach.
She can shoot Batarangs at her enemies or objects that are destructible so that they can deal significant damage to enemies nearby. Furthermore, she can withstand punches because they can regenerate her overall health and HP. She can succumb to her injuries and can revive herself.
Red Hood
If you are looking for a character that mainly focuses on ranged combat, then Red Hood can be a choice. He is excellent with his guns, which helps them stay out of the fire. He is also a professional when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. Not only that, but he can also grab hold of nearby enemies, attach a concussion mine to his back, and use his gun to detonate the mine by shooting at it. Red Hood is great if you are up for some crazy takedowns and combos.
Nightwing
Nightwing is hands down one of the fastest characters in the game. He can adapt to different situations so that he can avoid taking in damage from enemy attacks.
You can use Nightwing to jump and leap off, which fills up his momentum meter. Filling up the momentum meter means using Nightwing’s abilities easily and frequently. He is also a master in evasion and can easily evade his enemies during fights if needed.
Robin
Another stealth character, Robin, is one of the most famous characters in Batman. He can wipe off all the enemies without leaving a trace. Since Robin is such an iconic character, many perks are available on the skill tree, enabling him to run silently and move faster when in a crouched position.
He is a master of explosion decoys where you can lure the enemies near the bait that will explode, and on explosion, it deals elemental damage. He can also use smoke bombs that disrupt the enemy’s line of sight and can easily take down enemies from above.
I personally went with Batgirl, for obvious reasons 
. No, but really, I chose her because I am so much into stealth. Also, her ability to deal insane damage to a single target is what I went with. And I don’t regret my decision at all. Also, her appearance makes her look kind of agile, isn’t it? Therefore, for me, Batgirl is the best character in Gotham Knights.
