How to get Thorn Catalyst in Destiny 2

During season 23, if you are playing either the Crucible, Gambit, or Vanguard playlists, then you can get the Thorn Catalyst. It is during these playlists only that the thorn catalyst is a random drop. So I would suggest that you simply keep playing the game till you get the drop, and then you can simply put it in the inventory. Now the only thing that comes to mind when talking about drops is the frequency, so the answer is, that it is all upon your luck as the frequency is yet to be determined.

However, when you do get it, do equip it to your Thorn Hand Cannon when you upgrade it. You can level up your Thorn Catalyst at two places: Grasp of Avarice opening, or Shuro-Chi in Last Wish.

As previously said, the Thorn Catalyst is going to make your Thorn Hand Cannon turn from a solid weapon to one that is no less than a masterpiece, along with making you a force to be reckoned with on the field. It will increase the following stats:

  • +20 Range
  • +10 Stability

Moreover, after the thorn’s final blows and absorbing a remnant you can also increase its stats like handling, range, and mobility too!

How to get Thorn Hand Cannon

Remember that you need to have Thorn Hand Cannon in order to actually have use of Thorn Catalyst in the game. You can get the Thorn Hand Cannon by simply downloading: Forsaken Pack DLC. When you do this, you will get 3 Forsaken Ciphers using which you can get the Forsaken Exotics (including the Thorn Hand Cannon), and this is from the Monument to Lost Lights.

However, in case you have spent it on any other exotic, do not worry. There is another way too, that is, you get it by obtaining the following:

  • 150000 Glimmer
  • 1 Ascendant Shard
  • 1 Exotic Cipher

That sums up all that there was to know about how to get Thorn Catalyst in Destiny 2. Stay tuned for further updates!
