One of the most anticipated games this year- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, is the latest addition to the series of games that Insomniac Games have developed. The game will be released very soon exclusively for the PS5 and is expected to feature some high-end graphics and very immersive gameplay. Without further ado, here’s everything there is to know about the game’s download size and how you could preload it-
As we’ve mentioned earlier, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will soon be released exclusively for the PS5 and with this, it’s natural for any PlayStation gamer to worry about the game’s download size. The PS5 does feature a next-gen SSD. However, the 825GB limit might not suffice, given that it’s 2023 and some games take over 200GB at once.
As per “PlayStationSize” on Twitter, the game’s expected size is 86.26GB, but that isn’t the download size. The game’s expected to be playable at that level, give or take a few GBs and given that we know the expanded size, its download size will certainly be lower. But again, if you’ve already purchased or want to purchase Spider-Man 2, you might need to free up about 100 GB of space. Leaving some breathing space is always good, as the developers might roll out an update the next day.
As of today, if you’ve already purchased the game, you will be able to pre-load it and play it on the day of its release, so you don’t have to wait for it to download once it rolls out, but again, you won’t be able to play it till the 20th of October, 2023. The game is further expected to come in different editions – the Standard and the Deluxe. However, no download/expanded size change is expected, no matter which one of these two you’ve got.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 might be a nominee and maybe even winner for game of the year, as many people speculate, and that might be true.
