Persona 5 Black Screen fix – This guide will show you how to fix the black screen issue in Persona 5 Strikers.
PC players are experiencing a Black Screen issue in Persona 5 Strikers
Players have been constantly complaining on the steam discussions page of Persona 5 Strikers about the various bugs they are encountering while playing the game.
Some are stuck at the title screen of the game, some are getting infinite loading screen while some are straight up getting a black screen which is making the game completely unresponsive.
These bugs are being faced by players with low-end hardware as well as players with high-end gaming rigs. So if you were thinking that these bugs are related to your hardware then, you are most probably wrong.
A lot of people were eagerly waiting to play Persona 5 Strikers. So I can only imagine how frustrating the situation is right now. With that being said, could this issue be fixed?
How to fix the Black Screen issue in Persona 5 Strikers
This fix has been suggested by Steam user /Kevzters. Here is what you need to:
- Press Windows+R on your keyboard
- Type %appdata% and press enter
- You should land inside the Roaming directory. Inside, you will notice a folder that says ‘Sega’
- Inside the Sega folder you will notice the Steam folder
- Open it, and you should see the P5S folder inside it. Inside the P5S folder you will see a xml file called config.xml. Backup the P5S folder, in case you need it later
- Open the config.xml file and change <DisplaySetting>1</DisplaySetting> to <DisplaySetting>3</DisplaySetting>
- Save the changes and restart Steam
The game should start for you in Borderless Window without any Black Screen issue. But if the fix doesn’t end up working for you, then just go ahead and delete the entire P5S folder. You might lose your in-game progress, I am not too sure about that.
The only problem with this fix is, you have to continue running the game in Borderless Window mode until the developers release a patch.
