Persona 5 Strikers – Stuck at Loading – Game does not Load – How to fix

Is Persona 5 Strikers not loading for you? It is actually an “Infinite Loading” bug that many players are experiencing.

Persona 5 Strikers is not loading for many PC users

Persona 5 Strikers is finally here, and it seems to be doing fairly well across all the platforms. Of course, this is not how Persona games normally are. But the majority of the Persona fans are liking this change and that is what that matters.

Things might not be the smoothest for the PC version of P5S though. A lot of players have started complaining on the forums that Persona 5 Strikers is not loading for them. As a result, the game won’t start. The loading icon is leading them to a black screen.

Here is Steam user /Plantarc describing the bug:

Game doesn’t load?
Upon launching the game I see the loading icon in the bottom right for a few seconds before eventually it disappears and I’m left with a black screen. I managed to get to the title screen one of the times. I attempted to start the game however I had to close out and ever since I have not been able to even get to the title screen. Does anyone know a fix for this?

How to fix

There are plenty of fixes available for this bug actually. The first fix is a really simple one, and it has been posted by a Steam user on the Steam Discussions page of P5S:

I would suggest hitting Alt + Enter to change the window size, it seems that sometimes it might be the window size the first time that you load that causes the game to not load from what I’ve read? Also try to do the usual song and dance of ya know uninstalling/reinstalling and verifying game files.

The second fix comes from Steam user /Dais:

Just out of curiosity, could you try this: Go to the Persona 5 Strikers directory and look for the “game.exe”, then right click and properties. Go to the Compatibilities tab and disable Full Screen Optimization and Run as admin.

The third fix comes from Steam user /Matchaflavor:

You could try the config.xml.

C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Sega\Steam\P5S\config.xml is where I found it. Try editing it, or back it up somewhere and delete it.

The user who was asking for help regarding the bug in the first place, actually confirmed that this fix works.
