If you want to unlock a few operator skins in the game, you must have Kingslayer kills. On the other hand, if you are playing the daily and weekly challenges, you will have to face the six Operator Kingslayer kill requirements, and it is impossible to skip them.
So the only way that in multiplayer, you can get these specific kills in the game is by killing the opponent side’s top scorer. Now, in all of the modes in the game, there is always an opponent team that you have to verse and win against, so you can do the abovementioned in any of the game modes.
Although the title of the kill might mislead you into thinking that you need to be on the board’s top at all times, that is not what you need to do at all. Instead, as previously mentioned, you only have to kill the leaderboard’s top fragger in the match, and that too at any point(in the match). In a single match itself, you can get multiple kills. So keep your aim at the top scorer, and you should be good to go. Note that you are continuously checking the leaderboard for the name and operator skin, and keep it in mind.
After you kill the other team’s top scorer, you will get the confirmed kill of the “Kingslayer”, and on your screen, a pop-up saying so will also come. Remember that you will get it when you have taken down the leaderboard’s king’s kill. I have always found that, at most times, this is a camper when in my lobbies, I search for the Kingslayer kills.
The best way to get Kingslayer kills in MW3: Tips and tricks
I recommend the following strategies when you want a Kingslayer kill in MW3:
- I would suggest that you play Deathmatch instead of the top scorers in objective-based modes like, for example, Hardpoint; the king is very likely to stay the same.
- Always keep an eye on the leaderboard because the king can change.
- Make sure to use a UAV, as you can see them on the mini-map, unless the king has equipped the Ghost perk.
- There is one thing I personally do. I use Covert Sneakers and the Ghost Camo perk to sneak into enemy spawns and plant my Tactical Insertion Field Upgrade there.
