The Iceborne DLC for Monster Hunter World has finally launched for the PC platform. A whole lot of content has arrived with this DLC which has once again resurrected Monster Hunter World. But apart from the overdose of content, there are other things that players are experiencing as well. Various bugs, glitches and performance issues like lag, high cpu usage, crashes, etc.
But the issue we are talking about here is the infinite loading screen issue. Is there a fix? Lets find out.

What is the Infinite Loading bug in Monster Hunter World
It is a bug that has arrived with the Monster Hunter World Iceborne DLC and is causing some serious issues for the community. Whenever players are trying to launch the game they are being greeted either with a black screen or with an infinite loading screen.
And this issue is not related to hardware as a lot of high end gaming PC users and also experiencing this trouble. People are claiming to have tried everything like restarting the game, restarting Steam, their systems, etc. But nothing seems to help.
How to fix this issue
Well, from what I came to learn after browsing through all the posts from the Steam discussions page of Monster Hunter World is that, this issue is mainly happening to those who are regular users of mods in the game.
Apparently, people who had mods applied when they installed the Iceborne update, are the ones who are facing this bug. I checked all the posts on this topic, and there was only one user who claims to have managed to fix this issue or bug. Here is the fix suggested by him:
- Delete every folder ever touched by mods
- Verify the game on Steam
- Just right click on the game. Select Properties. Click on the Local Files tab and then click on Verify Integrity of Game Files
- Restart your PC
- Choose DX11 as your API

Now I just have to figure out how to configure the PC to run the game smoothly ‘-‘
I’m having this exact same problem but on my xbox with no mods whatsoever so that doesn’t really help me fix it. I’ve tried hard reset and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game plus removing any add ons. I have to save files and one open slot whun of my save files loads just fine, one of them won’t load at all (gets stuck in infinite loading) and when I try to create a new save file that one also get stuck in the loading screen.
