How to unlock Covert Sneakers in MW3 (Dead Silent Perk)
Players back in the day found themselves struggling against opponents that used the Dead Silent perk, and now, it’s going to happen again with the Covert Sneakers. But of course, you could either look at them as an advantage to yourself or a struggle against your enemy and if you’ve decided to get your hands on them without any further ado, here’s how you can do it:
The first requirement for getting the Covert Sneakers is for you to be at level 25 at least, as that’ll unlock the Armory Unlocks system. If you qualify for this, you’ll need to complete three daily challenges, with the covert sneakers being your final reward (you need to choose it manually from the options the armory has for you).
The Dead-silence, now a field upgrade, is said to be just as good as these sneakers, making them worth having. However, there have been instances where players have noticed the sneakers to be a little different from the OG Dead Silence perk, such as when you jump, but again, this is the closest you’ll get to it.
Further, if you’re thinking about stacking these options together, it doesn’t make much of a difference as your footsteps and other sounds will only be reduced to the maximum of the most effective one of these two options. So it’s better to use one of them and the other slot to improvise your loadout in another way.
Do know, however, that using only the covert sneakers is good enough, and you’ll find yourself at a huge advantage against your opponents, no matter what game mode you’re playing. Just get ready for some hate, as you might be called a sweat with these sneakers on *sigh*.
