How to Skip Cutscenes in FF16

Skip Cutscenes FF16 – Have you just started playing Final Fantasy XVI and already struggling with the long cutscenes the game includes? We realize that going through every cutscene isn’t the best option for some people, and fortunately, we might have a way for you to skip some of these Cutscenes.

So keep reading to learn more about skipping cutscenes in Final Fantasy 16.

So, there’s a way for you to skip cutscenes, but the problem with this is that not every cutscene in the game can be skipped. To complete the game, an average player would need to play for about 35 hours, and out of these 35 hours, there’s a total of 11 hours of important parts of the storyline that have been displayed as Cutscenes.

Let’s get down to the basics, though. You can skip cutscenes by pressing the options button and simultaneously holding down the Triangle button. Once you do this correctly, the menu will not pop up; the game will show you a pause button and freeze for about a second. Next, the cutscene (if it’s skippable) will be skipped, and you’ll be taken to the playable part of the story.

There’s another feature available for you, though, called Active Time Lore. This feature allows you to access and read certain information about the characters involved, back story, and nation-related information that would’ve been displayed in the cutscene. This isn’t available for every cutscene in the game, but you might eventually come across this option.

As we’ve mentioned earlier that not every cutscene can be skipped, we’ll elaborate on the same. Major parts of the story displayed as cutscenes are usually the kind that cannot be skipped. You can’t just hold the triangle down and the options button here. Unfortunately, that won’t do anything; what will happen is that the pause menu will open up, but there won’t be a skip option below. If this happens, you’ll know you’re at an unskippable cutscene.

We’ll end on a good note by saying that enjoy the cutscenes! There’s a total of 11 hours of cutscenes, as we’ve mentioned, and while that’s quite time-consuming, these cutscenes will definitely help you understand the story better. Otherwise, you’ll be able to skip some while, as with the major ones, you might have to keep yourself occupied doing something else while the cutscene pans out!

That’s everything we had on skipping cutscenes in Final Fantasy XVI.
