How to romance in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Like its predecessor, Dragon’s Dogma 2 also features the Romancing system, although they made a few changes. So, in this article, we will talk about romance and how it works in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Romance Options in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Currently, there are two romance options for you in Dragon’s Dogma.

Ulrika

You will be able to find Ulrika in the Harve Village during quests like

  1. Readvent of Calamity
  2. Trouble on the Cape
  3. Home is where the Hearth is

Wilhelmina

Finding her won’t be demanding, as you can see her at the Rose Chateau Borderlie & Vernworth during the Quest “Every Rose Has its Thorns.”

How to Romance Wilhelmina

You will be able to romance Wilhelmina during the Every Rose Has Its Thorns Side Quest, and you will be able to start with this quest a few moments after completing the Feast of Deception Main Quest.

How to Romance Ulrika

Apart from Wilhemnina, you can also romance Ulrika in Dragon’s Dogma 2. The quest starts with the Readvent of the Calamity Side Quest. Once you finish that, complete the Trouble on the Cape quest, and the Home is where the Hearth is Quest to start romancing with her. You will be able to present gifts to Ulrika after you have completed the Trouble on the Cape Quest at the Harve Village. Remember that you can also get return gifts from her if you have a house in Vernworth after completing the A Place to Call Home Quest.

Remember that since Readvent of Calamity Quest is a Time Sensitive Quest that involves an attack from the dragon, you might miss out on the opportunity to romance Ulrika. But the good part is that if you do not wish to do this quest, you will still get to romance with her during the other quests mentioned above.

However, we are still searching for more romancing options, but if you happen to come across one, then make sure to share it with us and follow this space for more updates.

How Does Romancing Work in Dragon’s Dogma?

The straightaway method of Romancing in Dragon’s Dogma is completing the Romance Quests. Completing such quests will help you unlock their Romantic Scenes without needing to gift them much, unlike the last installment, Dragon’s Dogma 1. I have unlocked the romantic Scene with Ulrika simply by completing the quests above without giving her anything.

It would be best to consider that giving gifts or items to the other character will only increase the affinity of the bond you are trying to create, which is different from how the Romance system works in Dragon’s Dogma 2. From the experience we gathered, we can see that it is tough to get gifts in return from the character that you gifted and wanted to bond with.

So that was all about how romancing works in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
