How to Increase Stamina in Dying Light 2

Running out of breath just after a short session of parkour in Dying Light 2? This guide will show you how you can increase your Stamina in the game.

Dying Light 2 is finally out, and is doing tremendously well. It has already surpassed the popularity of its prequel, and is not showing any signs of slowing down. Though, the game does suffer from some performance issues and technical errors. I have to admit that the gameplay is really intense, and if you had liked the original Dying Light, then you will love Stay Human.

The game takes place in “The City”, an enormous location is Europe. There is a fair amount of greenery, and plenty of POI. Often, I find myself swinging around the map, when I am not doing missions, which is most of the time. I love games like these, where you don’t get pressurized to do tasks. I don’t want missions to feel like chores. Dying Light 2 gives you a sense of freedom.

Anyway, since the map of Dying Light 2 is huge, parkour is one of the main aspects of the game. And for that, you require stamina. Everything form of parkour in Dying Light 2 requires stamina. Even when you are just holding on to a ledge, and not moving at all. You start with a pretty small stamina bar. Now it is your responsibility to increase it. Because if you don’t, you will most probably find yourself licking the floor, during “Chase” phases, in the later part of the game.

How to Increase Stamina in Dying Light 2

The process of increasing your Stamina in Dying Light 2 is not that easy, and requires a bit of grind. Here is how you can increase your stamina:

  • You can increase your stamina by collecting Inhibitors
  • Inhibitors are the only way to increase your max stamina. You have to increase it, otherwise you won’t be able to access some of your skills
  • You need to collect 3 Inhibitors to increase your Stamina by 1 level
  • Once you manage to obtain 3 Inhibitors, press U or your Skill button to open your ‘Skills’ Menu
  • Look just below your character, you will notice 4 icons. The one on the right is “Stamina”

  • Use 3 Inhibitors on it to increase it by 1 level
  • You can actually use the same process to Increase your Health in Dying Light 2, as well
  • The icon on the top shows how many Inhibitors you have collected

Now, one might ask, “Where to find these Inhibitors?”. Well, you will obtain your first Inhibitor while doing the “Makers of Plague” Story Quest with Hakon. You will fall inside an Elevator Shaft, then you will have to get an Inhibitor, so that you can get enough stamina to exit the Elevator Shaft.

After that mission, if you need more Inhibitors, then you will have to look for them inside GRE Crates. This is what a GRE Crate looks like:

So, where you find GRE Crates? GRE Crates can be found inside GRE QUARANTINES and GRE ANOMALY location. Look for these icons on your map:

  • Dying Light GRE Quarantine – This is the GRE QUARANTINE icon
  • Dying Light GRE Anomaly – This is the GRE ANOMALY icon

As soon as you come near a GRE Crate, you will hear an in-game voice saying, “GRE Crate nearby”. So keep your ears opened for that. One thing you have to keep in mind, the places where the GRE Crates are located are crawling with “Infected” most of the time. Wait for nighttime, then try visiting the locations. Don’t forget to use your ‘Survivor Sense’ very frequently, to avoid the Infected, as much as possible.
