The Maxtac Mantis Blades is a weapon everyone playing the Phantom Liberty DLC must have. It’s something that most players installed into the closest Ripperdoc as soon as they hit level 10. This weapon allows for some powerful builds to get going, and if you’re wondering how you could get those, you’ve come to the right place.
Buckle up as we cover everything there is to know about the Maxtac Mantis Blades in Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty DLC.
How can you get the Blades?
Getting your hands on the Mantis Blades might be quite the task. It requires you to get two quests in the game: The Firestarter mission and the Black Steel in Hour of Chaos. Here’s what you need to do in each one of these quests-
The Firestarter Mission
You’ll be needed to Betray Songbird in the Firestarter mission by siding with Reed once you’re asked to help him capture her, and the missions before this one don’t play any role in terms of these Blades. Doing this will lead you straight to the other important quest that you need to do in a specific manner- Black Steel in Hour of Chaos.
The Black Steel Mission
Once you’ve just started with the mission, you’ll first need to call Mr. Hands and talk with him about destroying the MaxTac convoy. Following this, the Quickhack seller will show up, and eventually, you must meet with Reed to lay out the foundation for the plan. Then, you wait for the convoy to show up and ambush it as soon as possible.
However, there’s an essential step to perform as soon as you’re in position for the convoy to arrive, and that is, once you’ve taken position, you’ll need to contact Mr Hands once again and convey the coordinates of the takedown to him before everything goes down.
Following this, let the takedown proceed as it normally would. Once the mission is done, you’ll be contacted by Mr Hands via a message, where he’ll congratulate you on a job well done and reward you with a gift sitting in your apartment waiting for you- The MaxTac Mantis Blades!
That’s everything there is to know about how you could get yourself the MaxTac Mantis Blades in Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty.
