Amber falls under the first tier Gem that you can use to craft specific tools like the Rare Pickaxe. Now crafting a Rare Pickaxe is necessary as this is the axe that you need to use to farm and get Flexwood.
To get cut Amber in Lego Fortnite, you need to get out of your humble home and get to the Dry Valley Biome. Remember that this Biome is a badlands-like area that is filled with Stone Pillars. Getting up on the top of those pillars is easy. All you need to do is make some stairs using the wood that you have in your inventory.
On reaching the top of the stone pillar you will be able to find a lot of Amber Deposits. Use the Uncommon Pickaxe to farm some Rough Amber out of it. Keep farming until you have gathered a good amount of Rough Amber. You can then use the Amber along with the Marble Slabs, Sand Claws and Sand Shells to craft a Gem Cutter.
You can then use the Gem Cutter to get Cut Amber out of the Rough Amber for your future crafting needs.
