The 2.0 Update of Cyberpunk 2077 is finally out, bringing the highly anticipated Phantom Liberty DLC. I’m sure fans like myself enjoy the new improvements and gameplay tweaks. This DLC has brought to the players a newer focus: Vehicular combat gameplay. So get ready for more chases!
There are now weaponized vehicles with missile launches and machine guns attached directly. So, during the chase sequences, you can crush your enemies! If you, too, want to find out how you can get and use these weaponized vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty, then keep reading to find out!
How to get Weaponized Vehicles
You must acquire a weaponized vehicle to call them on your character’s phone. For this, head to an Autofixer terminal or go to V’s apartment and then to the computer and purchase the Quartz called ‘Spacter’. After completing the Heist, you can find the unique Quandra Type-66 Hoon in the Watson area. Now, in the northern part of Watson, look for the warehouse area and complete the side quest called ‘I’m in Love with my Car’. This will get you the Ken Block-inspired machine. Both are part of the update, so you can acquire them even if you do not own Phantom Liberty!
As you continue the main missions in Phantom Liberty, you will unlock the ability to buy more of these vehicles. When buying them, note their symbols since ammo means equipped with a machine gun, and missile means missile launchers.
How to use Weaponized Vehicles
The weaponized vehicles’ controls are like a normal car in the game. To activate the weapon of the vehicle, press the Y/Triangle button. If you have multiple weapons equipped, press this button again to switch between them. Thankfully, the car automatically targets enemies. However, you can change it from the game’s settings if you do not want this. If you have done so, then to aim, press LB/L1 to aim. And then, to fire, press RB/R1.
Although these vehicles have unlimited ammo, you must reload it. When reloading, the weapon’s symbol will be in the middle of the HUD. To unequip a weapon of the vehicle, press the B/Circle button.
