One thing I noticed in God of Ragnarok is that you have to walk around a lot. I mean, ‘A LOT!’. And being a fan of MnK, I don’t play that often with controllers. And that is why, I was really hating the ‘press L3 to sprint’ thing. I don’t know why, but for some reason, I don’t really like pressing L3 or R3 on my Dualsense controller. The buttons are so stiff.
That is when I decided to check whether GOW Ragnarok has any option to turn on Auto Sprint or not. Thank God, they have one. Here is how you can enable auto sprinting in God of War Ragnarok:
How to Enable Auto Sprint in God of War Ragnarok
Yes, the Auto Sprint option is there, but it is present in such a deep portion of the settings menu, that many might not be able to find it.
- Launch of God of War Ragnarok.
- Press the ‘Options’ button on your Controller and go to the ‘Settings’ menu.
- Now, go to ‘Accessibility’.
- Scroll down until you find ‘Controller Settings’
- You will notice ‘Sprint’ just under ‘Skills Navigation’.
- Set it to ‘Auto’.
- Make sure ‘Delay Auto Sprint’ is set to ‘0’.
And that is all you have to do to enable Auto Sprint in God of War Ragnarok. Honestly, this setting is a blessing in my opinion. Gone of the days when God of War games were more about smashing your enemies and less about walking. But now, probably 40% of the entire playthrough consists of walking.
I know I might trigger some God of War fans, but sometimes all this walking can make the game really repetitive. The Auto Sprint option makes that aspect. sort of, bearable.
That’s all, folks!
