How to change Controls in GOW Ragnarok

If you are like me, and you don’t really like the default controls of the game and prefer the ‘Classic’ ones more, you can do that, actually.

  • Launch the game
  • Press the Options button and go to Settings
  • Select Controller Remapping

  • You will find the ‘Controller Layout’ setting at the very top
  • Pick the one you like. You get 4 options:
    • Default
    • Inverted
    • Classic
    • Left-Handed

If personally have been playing God of War using the Classic ones since the dawn of this universe. So that is what I decided to go with. In the ‘Classic’ controller layout you perform Light Attack and Heavy attack with Square and Triangle, instead of R1 and R1, respectively. I am used to that setting.

Now, if you don’t want to change the entire layout and change 1 or 2 keybinds here and there. Then you can do that as well.

On the Controller Remapping screen, press X on any key binding to ‘Edit’, then press the button you want to bind the control with.
