Forspoken is finally available for PlayStation 5 and PC. Now, the old PC requirement joke that “but it can run Crysis” might be negated by Forspoken. A few days ago, the official requirements for the game were posted. And players who have pre-ordered the game or played the demo of it are worrying after having a look at the PC requirements for the game.
If you are someone who plans to play the game on their PS5, then you don’t have to worry about a thing. However, if you plan to play on your PC, can it run Forspoken? Here are all the PC requirements required for Forspoken.
PC Requirements for Forspoken
We will explain the PC requirements for the game by putting it into three ways, the basic minimum, what is recommended, and lastly, the Ultra. You can already guess by the name that, to run the game on Ultra, would require you to have a pretty beefy setup. Here are all three of them.
Minimum Requirements
- RAM – 16 GB
- HDD/SDD Space – HDD: At least 150 GB or more
- Display Resolution – 720 p, 30 FPS
- OS – Windows 10 64-bit (November 2019 Update or Newer); or Windows 11 64-bit
- GPU – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB VRAM; or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8 GB
- CPU – Intel Core i7-3770 with 3.7 GHz or more; or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 with 3.7 GHz or more
Recommended Requirements
- RAM – 24 GB
- HDD/SDD Space – SSD: At least 150 GB or more
- Display Resolution – 1440 p, 30 FPS
- OS – Windows 10 64-bit (November 2019 Update or Newer); or Windows 11 64-bit
- GPU – AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB; or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 3070 8 GB VRAM
- CPU – AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with 3.7 GHz or more; or Intel Core i7-8700 with 3.7 GHz or more
Ultra Requirements
- RAM – 32 GB
- HDD/SDD Space – NvMe SSD: At least 150 GB or more
- Display Resolution – 2160 p, 60 FPS
- OS – Windows 10 64-bit (November 2019 Update or Newer); or Windows 11 64-bit
- GPU – AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT 16 GB; or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 4080 16 GB VRAM
- CPU – AMD Ryzen 5 5800 X with 3.7 GHz or more; or Intel Core i7-12700
It is clearly visible that the Ultra requirement category would require you to have an NVIDIA RTX 4080 for your PC, and this is one of the most expensive and the latest ones in the market. Although the game would still be great enough with the recommended category, it is rather atrocious that the highest settings for the game are available only for the Ultra PC Setup.
