How to fix Suicide Squad Black Screen issue
This black screen bug is a major problem for PC Players, and you will encounter a black screen as soon as you launch Suicide Squad. While a lot of users are suffering from this bug, both on PS5 and PC, a user has recommended a fix. Check it out:
Same issue, finished tutorial, now I can’t do anything not even view the characters, launching a game is just a black screen with in game text and subtitles displaying but nothing else
Managed to fix it:
- Open the “Looks” menu
- Select a character
- Go to “Enhanced traversal”
- Select any traversal skin
- Repeat for all the characters
- Play the game normally!
While this has worked for some users, it is not the perfect fix. If the steps given above don’t end up fixing the issue, what you can go is, upgrade or downgrade your GPU driver. The main goal is to make some sort of changes to your driver because there might be a chance that the black screen is being caused by your GPU driver. Links are below:
Now, making changes to your drivers should do the job for most users. But if it doesn’t, in any case, then I would recommend that you turn off every single overlay you have. Whether it is from Steam, GeForce Experience, or Xbox Game Bar.
I have also come across some posts where players have been claiming that they have stopped encountering the Black screen issues when they installed the latest Windows Media Feature Pack from Microsoft. Go to the product page, select and download the latest May 2019 Edition pack, and install it. Restart your PC once you are done. Relaunch the game, and you should have all your black screen issues solved.
