Baldur’ Gate 3 Syncing error – Even though it’s been a while since the release of Baldur’s Gate 3, the game to this day is facing some bugs and errors that cause a lot of trouble to the players, one such error is the “Can’t Save Currently Syncing Error” bug which doesn’t allow players to load or save their games.

This is where we will come in clutch as we’ve got a fix for this bug that you can use to get through it. Keep reading as we get to the bottom of it!

Fix Baldur’s Gate 3 Can’t Save Currently Syncing error

Before we get into how you could perform the fix, there’s something that you probably need to know, and that is that you’ll lose all of your current game data while fixing this bug. This includes the character you’ve made, and unfortunately, there is no way around this. We do expect there to be a fix for this very soon; however, for the time being, you’ve got this particular fix!

Just another quick thing before we get to the fix, you might need to disable the cross-save in the game’s menu. Furthermore, another thing that you can try to fix the problem is to verify the integrity of the game’s files. This isn’t useful, though, as the problem lies with how the game’s saving your data and verifying downloaded files has little to no chance of fixing the same!

Nevertheless, here’s a step-by-step guide on how you could fix the bug-

  1. Close the game.
  2. Head to your Steam library, find Baldur’s Gate 3, and right-click on it.
  3. From the drop-down menu, select properties.
  4. Go to General, then to steam cloud, and once you’re there, turn steam cloud sync off.
  5. Now, this step is a little tricky as it requires you to find the steam files folder for Baldur’s Gate 3 and delete it; the pathway for the file, as default, should be the following-  “C:\Users\myUser\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur’s Gate 3”.
  6. Restart the game once you’ve deleted the file.

NOTE: If you’ve changed the download location for the game, you might have to look around for a bit.
