Destiny 2 The Final Shape Editions – Which one to buy

Destiny 2 is coming out with something big this time as the 10-year series ends; the conclusion is that the Darkness and Light chapter will soon be released. With that being said, Destiny 2’s The Final Shape expansion is now available for everyone to pre-order, hence the crisis! It doesn’t matter what platform you’re on; there are a lot of benefits to choose from, and without further ado, here’s an overview of all of the different editions to choose from!-

With the Final Shape Editions being released for the PS5, Microsoft Windows, The PS4, Xbox Series X/S and the Xbox One on their respective stores, here are the different editions to choose from-

  • Xbox Store: Destiny 2’s Standard Edition: $49.99 OR 41.99 GBP
  • Xbox Store: Destiny 2’s The Final Shape + Annual Pass $99.99 OR 83.99 GBP
  • PlayStation Store: Destiny 2 Standard Edition: $49.99 (US) or 41.99 GBP
  • Steam: Destiny 2 The Final Shape + Annual Pass: $99.99 or 83.33 GBP

There are technically three editions to choose from: The Standard Edition, The Final Shape Expansion, the Annual Pass, and finally, the Collector’s Edition. Here’s a complete analysis of these editions individually. Choose wisely!

The Standard Edition

The Standard Edition will include the base expansion and the pre-order bonuses that we’ll mention below. Further, it’ll include the all-new Echoes Episode, and an instant unlock for the Expansion Emblem and the Exotic Ghost. Lastly, this is the most affordable edition on the list!

The Final Shape + Annual Pass Edition

Purchasing this particular edition will fetch you the seasonal content, including two additional episodes- Heresy and Revenant. You’ll also receive the Final Shape Dungeon key for the two dungeons, respectively, access to a road that isn’t accessible to everyone, and finally, The Tessellation Exotic Rifle with its Catalyst and the Ornament.

Other than this, you will be rewarded with a new exotic sparrow, 3 Ascendant Alloys, 4 Ascendant Shards, A secret stash per episode, an exotic Cipher, seven upgrade modules and one exotic item!

Collector’s Edition

The Collector’s Edition is unlike any other edition of the game, and it comes with models of Ikora, Zavala and Cayde, along with a model tower. These were shown during the Destiny 2 showcase, but a final model hasn’t been released yet!

Other than all of that, you’ll get everything that you’d normally get in any other edition of the game and some additional stuff, such as an autograph book, a Vanguard Mission Dossier along with a Patch, the Final Shape exclusive Soundtrack and lastly, another Emblem Code!

The Collector’s Edition is available worldwide. However, you won’t be able to purchase them online. There’s limited stock available with the retailer that might be around you, so make sure you grab it until the stocks last!
