Succession Destiny 2 – Wondering how to get the brand new Succession Sniper Rifle in Destiny 2? Here is a guide that can help.
How to get Succession in Destiny 2
Succession – Weapon Description
Succession is a Sniper Rifle of Purple or Legendary rarity in Destiny 2. This weapon got added with the Beyond Light update in Destiny 2. It is a Kinetic Aggressive Frame Sniper Rifle and is probably one of the best weapons you can farm for PVE at the moment.
So what is so special about the Succession? First thing is, this is an Aggressive Sniper Rifle that goes to the Kinetic slot. Which means your Energy slot will remain open. Second thing is the awesome variety of perks that this weapon can roll with. Vorpal Weapon is obviously being the best among them. Now what is Vorpal Weapon? Well, Vorpal Weapon is a perk that gives you increased damage against bosses, vehicles, and Guardians with their Super active. It is a direct 15% damage increase, no questions asked.
Now let’s take a look at the base stats of Succession:
|Rounds Per Minute (RPM)||72|
Succession God Roll
Now the idea of a God Roll can be different for different people. If you ask me then a God Roll Succession should have:
- Barrel – Arrowhead Brake – For that huge reduction in recoil, so that you don’t miss your shots during damage phases
- Magazine – Tactical Mag – For that increased reload speed and magazine size
- Legendary Trait – Reconstruction – Watch the video below to know more
- Legendary Trait – Vorpal Weapon – Hands down the best perk for this weapon
If you are wondering why I chose the rolls given above, then go ahead and watch this extremely detailed video on Succession from one of the best Destiny 2 Youtubers, Aztecross:
Where to farm Succession
In order to get the Succession you obviously need to have the Beyond Light DLC. Which means Succession is actually a part of Destiny 2’s paid content. With that being said, you can get the Succession by doing the Deep Stone Crypt Raid that has arrived with Beyond Light. This weapon is not available anywhere else. The drop rate for this weapon is fairly high, and you can easily get one from the normal chests that spawn inside the Raid.
