There is not much that you need to do to build a campfire in the game. The first and foremost thing that you will need, however, is an Axe. So craft it and then acquire wood. You will need at least 3 wood. As an alternate option, you can also search the map for scattered wood and pick it up from there instead.
Now that you have the wood with you, you will need to open your building menu(Press Q for PC). Then, head to the Utility tab. There you will find the option of Campfire. Simply select it and place it anywhere to your liking.
And that is it! You now have a campfire where you can host your friends at night and is perfect for singing songs with them while you have roasted marshmallows too! This campfire of yours will stay lit forever, and you can even use it for cooking!
