Nobody could have guessed the overhaul of the perk system in Call of Duty ever and would see the day when the developers actually decided to do so! Although the change is not very considerable. However, you now get perk effects granted depending on your gear, and using this to gain an advantage on the field is a great way to get the upper hand. You might have heard of fancy footwork, but the boots in the game have taken things to an upper level.
So, here are the boots that are available in the game, with their in-game description and why should you select them along with my picks as the best boots. Note that my bests would differ from yours as this is subject to your play style.

It is an excellent perk and can help you stealth around the map, undetectably cross the enemy lines, and sneak up on them, giving you the option to devise a completely new strategy for your gameplay. |
| 2 | Stalker Boots | Increased Strafe and ADS movement speed | These give you two advantages, as mentioned in the description. So if you are more concerned with your agility then these boots will help you return fire easily and also dodge shots. For close quarters, these prove to be excellent. |
| 3 | Tactical Pads | Increases slide distance and allows for aiming down sights while sliding. Increases stance transition speeds and crouched movement speed. | This, as can be seen from the in-game description has a lot of great perks. With all of them together, it sure is a lot of movement. You are going to be zipping across the map, going up and down to confuse your enemies by landing them with perfect sliding hits in what would seem like no time. Additionally, you will always find a use for these no matter the game mode or the map. |

Given its perks, if someone is really up for a chase then trust me you will be a force to be reckoned with. Although simple, it can be effective if you like to keep both the pace and kill count, hopefully, rapid. |
| 5 | Climbing Boots | Increased climbing and mantling speed. Reduces fall damage. | This too has a niche perk and depends on your likeness of climbing buildings. They will though help to boost your movement in a fight and prove to be better than Lightweight boots given that they also reduce fall damage. It might prove to be a game changer also if you need to jump off a building pronto and your fate won’t be the same as the enemy who is following you. |
| 6 | Lightweight Boots | Increases movement and swim speed. Reduces noise while swimming. | The perks it offers are not something that you will undoubtedly get a reward for using. Although it does help increase your movement speed, it is very subjective to the map whether these prove to be of actual use. Moreover, the secondary perk is quite niche. |
