Rapacious Appetite God Roll – Season 21, the Season of the Deep, has finally arrived in Destiny 2. It has also brought new exotics, seasonal activities, a dungeon and, of course, a bunch of Legendary weapons.
The newest seasonal weapon in Destiny 2 Season 21 is the Rapacious Appetite SMG. This Aggressive framed gear piece has an RPM of 750, with a magazine size of 27! So, it is probably one of the most powerful archetypes in the current meta. From the same archetype, just like the other weapons, you can use it for both PVP and PVE.
Let us quickly take a glance at the stats of Rapacious Appetite:
- Impact: 23
- Range: 43
- Stability: 6
- Handling: 53
- Reload speed: 22
- Aim Assistance: 27
- Inventory size: 34
- Zoom: 14
- Airborne Effectiveness: 18
- Recoil: 94
- Bounce intensity: 6
Looking at the stats, one can say that it does have a lot of similarities with the stats of the other Aggressive Framed Weapons. However, its stability is the downside here. Still, this weapon can be balanced with a few perks with Damage, Range, and all other stats. With this being said, here are the PvP and PvE God rolls for the Rapacious Appetite SMG.

In my opinion, here are the best perks on the Rapacious Appetite for PvP in Destiny 2:
- Barrel: Polygonal Rifling (+10 Stability).
- Magazine: Ricochet Rounds(+5 Range and +10 Stability).
- Trait #1: Perpetual motion (To increase handling, stability, and Reload speed while in motion).
- Trait #2: Target lock (Based on the time the weapon is fired on the target, the damage increases).
- Origin Trait: Unsated Hunger
- Masterwork: Range
- Mod: Counterbalance Stock (To make the recoil more manageable)
Rapacious Appetite God Roll – PvE
Although the Rapacious Appetite might seem like a PvP weapon, given its element and archetype, it also finds its use in PvE. In my opinion, here are the best perks of Rapacious Appetite for PvE in Destiny 2:
- Barrel: Fluted Barrel (+5 Stability and +15 Handling).
- Magazine: Flared Magwell (+5 Stability and +15 Reload Speed).
- Trait #1: Fourth Time’s The Charm/Envious Assassin (Overflows the magazine based on the number of targets defeated with other weapons before drawing this weapon).
- Trait #2: Frenzy/One For All (With Frenzy, after you are in combat for 12 seconds, you get +15% damage, 100 Handling, and 100 Reload speed)
- Origin Trait: Unsated Hunger
- Masterwork: Handling
- Mod: Minor Spec

How to get the Rapacious Appetite SMG in Destiny 2
To get this weapon, you can either grind the current seasonal activities, Deep Dive and Salvage, or unlock it by simply completing the challenge ‘Deep weapons focusing’. You can track this objective from the seasonal challenge. Once you have done this, focusing on the Rapacious Appetite SMG will require 3,000 Glimmer and 4 Deep Engrams.
