Devil May Cry 5 (DMC) Performance Guide – Fix Lag, FPS Drops, Bugs and Stuttering

About The Game

Devil May Cry 5 is an action-adventure title by Capcom that belongs to the hack and slash genre. It is the fifth installment of the mainline Devil May Cry series, so this a direct sequel to Devil May Cry 4 that released in 2008, which means Devil May Cry 5 is completely different from the title that was released in 2013, DmC : Devil May Cry.

There are three playable characters in Devil May Cry 5; Dante, Nero a completely new character, named “V”. The gameplay mechanics are pretty similar to the other Devil May Cry titles. The players gets to fight a huge number of demons with a ton of weapons and a variety of attacks. The game is extremely fast paced. Players can create different combos by mixing up several types of attacks, dodges and weapons.

Just like Devil May Cry 4, Nero gets the Red Queen sword as his main weapon, his double-barreled revolver known as the Blue Rose, and an assortment of new robotic arms called Devil Breakers.

Dante, more or less, maintains the same arsenal. His blade Rebellion, the demonic sword Sparda, two new Devil Arms, a pair of buzzsaw-like weapons that combine into a motorcycle called Cavaliere, and a set of fiery gauntlets and boots called Balrog. In addition, Dante will also wield Cerberus, a kind of nunchuks introduced in Devil May Cry 3.

And finally, V, he does not fight by himself and is often seen standing with a book and a cane in this hands. V uses three demons. An eagle that uses ranged lightning based attacks called Griffon, a panther that forms blades, spikes and portals out of its body and is called Shadow, and finally a large golem called Nightmare that uses a combination of melee attacks and laser beams. Nightmare appears when V enters a Devil Trigger-like state, which turns his hair white.

Even though the Devil May Cry titles are known to be extremely optimized, there are certain instances in Devil May Cry 5 that are causing players to lag and suffer FPS loss. The most fun part of Devil May Cry games is using different types of combos to reach the SSS rating and due to lag players are missing few moves which is causing a break in the combos. It is highly recommended that players play this game on more than 60 frames per second as the Devil May Cry series is known to have the fastest hack and slash games and low fps can hinder the overall experience. Here is how you can fix any sort of lag, FPS drops, bugs and stuttering in Devil May Cry 5:
